My Recipe Organization System and Free Printable

How I organize all my printed blog and Pinterest recipes including my custom free printable!

Over the years I have accumulated a stack of recipes that I love to use, that I have printed off of my Pinterest boards and various blogs. They sat in a big, un-organized stack in one of kitchen cabinets for years. It’s one of those things that I always meant to organize, and just never got around to.. Until now! Keep reading to see what I came up with, and for access to my free printable, and links to the supplies I used if you’d like to create your own recipe binder!

I started out by getting a large 3″ view sleeve binder, and heavy duty page protectors. I did this because I don’t know about you, but I tend to be a little messy when I’m cooking. Some of my favorite recipes were pretty beat up and stained from years of food splattering on them! Page protectors are a great way to keep the pages clean (just wipe them off when a spill or splatter occurs).

I organized the binder into recipe groups such as main dishes, sides, breads, desserts, soups, etc. I used simple peel and stick, writable divider tabs to mark the sections. I’m sure there are more elegant ways to do this, but I was going for easy with still being pretty, and these were the perfect solution for me.

Next, I went onto my favorite graphic design website Canva, and created a pretty cover page, and spine. (Subscribe to the blog below to get access to this FREE graphic in the library!) I printed them on cardstock, inserted into my binder, and just like that I have a recipe binder that I can be proud of, that looks pretty on my counter, and will last for years to come!

I hope this helped you with ideas on how to organize your mountain of printed recipes. Let me know in the comments below if you used the graphic. I’d love to see how you use and modify it for your own use!
