Kitchen Pantry Makeover

My kitchen pantry has been an un-organized MESS for YEARS now, and since winter is my photography business “off” season, I like to tackle projects that I’ve wanted to do, but haven’t had time for during the winter. I completed this project in just a couple of days, and I’m so happy with how it all turned out!

I did a little makeover on my kitchen pantry this week! It was SUCH a disaster before, and anyone that knows me, knows how I am kind of a neat freak, but I also sometimes get overwhelmed and live with the “out of sight, out of mind philosophy”. My pantry has always been somewhat of a disaster, and when we first DIY built our home, we couldn’t even afford shelves, and kind of hodge podged it all together. I’d like to eventually redo the shelving entirely, but for a couple day’s project, a lot of cleaning, and a trip to Walmart for some baskets and racks, I’m so happy with how this turned out!  ???? I’ll link my baskets and racks below!

This is the BEFORE of my pantry. As you can see it was just a complete disaster, dirty, unorganized, and absolutely no method or organization to ANYTHING. I also have trash bins built into my kitchen cabinets, but had never used them, so the trash being locked in the pantry was also a big eye sore, and honestly, kind of gross to have trash and spattered coffee grounds all over your pantry.

And now for the AFTER! I’m just so happy how it all turned out. It’s organized, everything, including the broom and mop have a place. (It’s not pictured, but I used command hooks on the side wall to the left to hang the broom and mop out of sight, and off of the floor! The baskets I found at Walmart, as well as the cute can racks, and the cute chalkboard labels. The rest was just a huge cleaning job, and new daylight lighting! I also LOVE not having the trash in the pantry anymore, even though it’s taken a while to get used to where the trash goes! My kids, husband and I kept walking to the pantry for at least a week and a half when we had trash to throw away!

Here are links to the baskets, labels, bowl, cereal keepers, 3 drawer organizers, under shelf rack, and the awesome can organizer that I used!
